The word whisky we know today evolved from the Gaelic term ‘Uige Beatha’ which in turn was translated from the Latin ‘Aqua Vita’ meaning water of life.Whisky has been distilled in Scotland for hundreds of years. The oldest catalogued evidence of whisky distillation was from 1494.Here at Mr C’s we try to help in finding the perfect dram for you with choices to suit all pallets and a wide variety of whiskies from each of the regions in Scotland.We offer a great introduction to whisky and tastings to help you with the knowledge to go on and find your perfect dram!As well as our range of single malts and blends, we offer a wide selection of spirits, draught and bottled beers and a variety of wines to suit all.
