Sir David Attenborough’s, the renowned BBC wildlife and naturalist, recently stayed at the Lodge on Loch Lomond Hotel, while filming his latest programmes.
“The service was excellent from start to finish – right from the initial help to organise things to all of the staff of the hotel bowing to the producers every whim whilst they were there. A particular thank you to Gary, who devoted himself to keeping the hungry crew well fed at all times – and got up at any hour they demanded to feed them breakfast. He provided food for the crew at short notice every day and was very flexible with his menu. The Scottish night, which Sir David attended, was particularly good and the food was excellent.”
“Fiona and Linda were also wonderful and went out of their way to keep the crew happy. There was one day when Linda even went home to fetch some walking sticks for Sir David to use. The crew said they have rarely experienced such friendly and sincere hospitality from a hotel – especially with a large and demanding film crew in tow. The team immediately went out to Rome to do some more filming, and by comparison, it was hard work and they said they really noticed the difference.”
“Sir David was in excellent spirits during his stay and really liked his room, as well as the food on the Scottish night.”
“From a logitical point of view, the person in charge is always the one who has to liaise with the hotel staff, she said she couldn’t be more satisfied with the service they received. The Inn on Loch Lomond felt like home for the time they were there – and that’s the best you can ask for when on a very exhausting and demanding schedule.”
“Please pass on our thanks to Nigel, Gary, Fiona and Linda – and everyone else at the Inn – for everything they did for us. We will certainly be recommending it to anyone they know who visits Loch Lomond.”
