Free Family Outdoor Showcase at Loch Lomond with SYHA

With just over a week to go to SYHA Hostelling Scotland’s SYHActive – a celebration of Scotland’s great outdoors, being staged at Rowardennan Youth Hostel on the shores of Loch Lomond on Saturday 18th April 2015 – it is shaping up to be a great day out for all the family! SYHActive includes a sponsored duathlon (starting at 10:00) and a free outdoor activity showcase (11:30-16:30) to encourage as many people as possible to experience first-hand the multitude of opportunities Scotland’s stunning countryside has to offer and to highlight all the benefits of outdoor activities and of modern day hostelling. The showcase will include activity providers Can You Experience and Boots & Paddles, who work with SYHA youth programmes, and Lomond Kayak Club offering family friendly taster sessions for a variety of adventure and team building activities, from canoeing to raft building and archery.  Furthermore, C-N-Do Scotland will be providing a self-led orienteering route for all ages.
