The Inn first opened in 1814, and has retained its traditional charm ever since, serving as a watering hole to generations of travellers, from far and wide. The new Inn on Loch Lomond’s 200 year heritage has been honoured with a stylish and contemporary refurbishment in 2008 and now boasts modern accommodation, uniquely stylised public spaces, a fantastic restaurant and bar with natural furnishings and of course a roaring fire.
The wild beauty of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs has attracted visitors for many generations – a magical place with breathtaking scenery which will thrill the heart and awaken the senses. Some 7 million people still lose themselves in the vast countryside and waters of Loch Lomond every year.

Further to the FM’s announcement on Saturday 19th December and the introduction of the Tier 4 restrictions throughout Scotland, it is with great sadness that we must temporarily close the hotel until 31st March 2021. We are so sorry to disappoint all our arriving guests who were booked to stay over the course of these dates and appreciate your understanding given the short notice and that the situation is out with all of our control. During the closure we have a small team of staff working to keep the hotel safe however you will not be able to make contact with us by telephone as our phone lines will be closed off, our Reservations Team can be contacted by email res@innonlochlomond.co.uk and if we’ve not already managed to get in touch with you in connection with your booking to make alternative arrangements then please do drop us a message and we will endeavour to reply as quickly as we can. Rest assured we can reschedule or cancel/refund your booking as is required.
We thank all of our guests who have been able to visit us in 2020 and to all the team who have done an amazing job making The Lodge a safe and welcoming place during these unprecedented times and with a vaccine now with us look forward to happier days ahead.
Important Update – November 2020
Unfortunately from 9th November until the end of December 2020 we have temporarily closed our calendar/opening times – we are so sorry for any inconvenience however due to the ever changing and increasing travel restrictions around Covid and the implications of how this now affects the business on these quieter months we have now temporarily closed. This is not a decision we have taken lightly and appreciate your ongoing understanding with this. We do hope as soon as the situation improves nationally that we will be able to review and revert to our typical opening hours. In the meantime we do have availability at our sister property The Lodge on Loch Lomond just 2 miles away.
Our Reservations Team have reached out to everyone who had a booking during the affected dates however there may be some instances whereby we haven’t been able to speak with you personally or where you haven’t responded to us – please do get in touch to reschedule your booking or arrange a refund via res@innonlochlomond.co.uk – we will endeavour to reply as quickly as we can.
We were so excited to reopen the hotel on 10th August following the lock down earlier this year and are devastated to be temporarily closing again! As soon as we can we hope to come back better than ever and be able to welcome our wonderful guests once more.
